John Dunnicliff is probably best know for his “red book” Geotechnical Instrumentation for Monitoring Field Performance. It was published twice, in 1988 and then again in 1993. John made the bold decision not to update it again, preferring instead to publish articles online in what he called Geotechnical Instrumentation News. All of the articles are now available on the website of the Canadian Geotechnical Society and can be accessed using this link.
